Inspired by ancient time keeping devices, this hourglass features a traditional design and is handmade from start to finish by artisans in India, just the way that hourglasses were made centuries ago. To make this hourglass an attractive addition to a modern home or office, we use sand that is dyed a pale rose color in the glass container in the middle. The frame is built out of sturdy hardwood that is polished to perfection and finished in a rich warm brown color. The hourglass really works with sand flowing from one chamber to another gradually when the glass is inverted.
